Article XV - Amending or
Dissolving This Constitution
and The Articles of Declaration
Amendment to, or Dissolution of, this
Constitution and/or The Articles of Declaration may be done in the
following manner. The proposed change to, or dissolution of, this
Constitution and/or The Articles of Declaration shall be announced from
the pulpit by the Senior Pastor/Elder on a Sunday morning at a
regularly-scheduled worship service, posted on the bulletin board until
said change is voted on, and announced from the pulpit for two
consecutive Sunday mornings. If the office of Senior Pastor/Elder
is vacant the proposed changes or dissolution may be announced by a
member of the Ministry Council. The date and time of the vote on the
proposed change(s) or dissolution shall be included in all announcements
and included in the document that is to be posted on the bulletin board.
Upon a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of members present at the special
called meeting, the proposed change(s) or dissolution shall take place.
In the case of dissolution, all properties,
assets, and holdings of Valley View Baptist Church shall be transferred
to another church of like faith and practice.
