Section Two: The Making of a
Declaration
A Declaration shall be established as need arises pertaining to the
faith and practice of Valley View Baptist Church. In the event
that a Declaration is needed, the Elders of the church shall determine
the need, legitimacy, and Biblical accuracy of the Declaration. In
the event that the Declaration is to be made, it shall be announced from
the pulpit by an Elder on a Sunday morning at a regularly-scheduled
worship service; and a special meeting shall be called to formerly
establish the new Declaration. The special meeting shall be held
no less than three days after the announcement of the new Declaration.
Upon a majority affirmation of those members present at the special
meeting, the new Declaration shall be added to the Articles of
Declaration. Any member of Valley View Baptist Church may submit a
Declaration in writing to the Elders to be considered for approval.
The Articles of Declaration shall be updated as needed and made
available to all members by placing a copy of the revised Articles in a
conspicuous place within the church building for at least two weeks.
