Section Three:  Appointment of Stewardship Ministry Members

There shall be five members of the Stewardship Ministry, one of which shall be the Treasurer.  Because of the nature of the Ministry Council, an Elder or Deacon shall not serve on the Stewardship Ministry.  The four remaining members shall be appointed by the church according to the following procedure:  financially-responsible individuals shall be recommended by the church to serve on the Stewardship Ministry.  A special meeting shall be called from the pulpit on a Sunday morning at a regularly-scheduled worship service for the purpose of presenting the candidate(s) to the congregation for a vote.  The special meeting shall be called no less than three days from the announcement, and the purpose and time of the meeting shall be mentioned in the announcement.  Upon a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of members present at the special called meeting, the individual(s) in question shall be appointed to the Stewardship Ministry.  In the event of a vacancy in the Stewardship Ministry, the afore-mentioned procedure shall be followed to maintain a full count of five members.
